Guidelines:
Max one tune per participant
Tune with chords
Tempo description/spesification if applicable
Max two keys and max two pages
Tune might be used as programmed musical tune during Nordlek 2012
Audio file can be enclosed on CD
Theme: Polsdance in all of the Nordic region’s tradition and variations

Important notice: Whoever opens the entry, should not see anything but an anonymised note and if applicable a CD with no annotations and a blank envelope with your entry with your name and contact information. Copyright is retained by the composer. If the piece is registered with TONO/Testo, this needs to be included in the information in the closed envelope.

The tune cannot have been publicly performed or otherwise published. The Nordlek council reserves the right to use and publish the three winning entries in relation to Nordlek through hand-outs and publication on Nordlek’s web-site.

The competition

Step 1: Send one copy of anonymised notes to the jury for evaluation. Each of the three judges pick up to five favourites. A maximum of 15 pieces move on to the next step of the competition.

Step 2: The juryen meet during Nordlek 2012 for trials and performance of the tunes. They will agree on three finalists to be performed by the judges playing for a dancing audience Friday 13 Jyly 2012(Steinkjerhallen kl. 21.55 – 22.10)

Step 3: The judges will then make final evaluations and declare a winner. The audience might be consulted, but are free to include these opinions.

Step 4: The winner is announced during the closing ceremony Saturday and the entry will be performed after a price ceremony.

First price: Cruise on Hurtigruten for two people
